I love the changing of the seasons!! Its tradition in our house that the day after Halloween on November 1st we ALWAYS put up our Christmas tree! Some may say it's too early and it spoils the newness of it by December, BUT I never tire of the Holiday Season. It's the season of LOVE, of FAMILY, of TOGETHERNESS. It's the Season when we celebrate the birth of Christ and cherish his undying love for us...so, I say NO it isn't TOO EARLY. We should celebrate YEAR round the LOVE of Family and the LOVE of Christ!!! I faithfully put mine up on November 1st of every year because the season itself is all too short that it is also to quickly forgotten! I enjoy every bit of it! And my kids LOVE it too! Herbie, our house elf (from the Elf on the Shelf), flies down from the North Pole and starts monitoring our behavior day to day, so he can report to Santa Claus when we are tucked in bed fast asleep. I am enclosing a few pictures. The first ones are from Halloween...Ella was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Evan was a StormTrooper from Star Wars!!! We had a LOT of fun trick-or-treating! The pics after that are pics of our tree and christmas decor!
ENJOY!

ReplyDeleteWe got ours three years ago and named him Herbie off the movie oldie-but-goodie claymation movie Rudolph the RedNosed Reindeer...he was the elf that wanted to be a dentist. I think his name may have actually been "hermie" but ours is "herbie"
